To go alongside the National Portrait Gallery's exhibition Russia and the Arts: The Age of Tolstoy and Tchaikovsky, the Portrait Choir collaborate with musician and director Andy Staples to create Confession, a production interweaving words from Tolstoy’s existential questionings about the human condition, A Confession (1879/80), and music from Tchaikovsky’s Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom (1878).
