After the explosion of plaudits for its hugely ambitious Die Meistersinger in 2014 (‘a triumph’ Opera Magazine), Saffron Opera Group continues its bold Wagnerian ascent with a new Ring Cycle. Wagner expert Michael Thorne leads the orchestra for this in-concert performance, which combines both professional and non-professional musicians, and a superb team of international soloists including Jeremy White (Wotan) and Nicholas Folwell (Alberich) for the ‘preliminary evening’ of the cycle which sets the epic story of love, power and revenge in motion.
